Hoy Park Management Pty Ltd, the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, and the eThekwini Municipality, in partnership with the South African Football Association (SAFA) host a world class Under 19 International Football Tournament in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This is in line with the three year agreement that saw the first edition being played in 2014. 2016 will once again see some of the world’s accomplished club sides send their talented young players to Durban.

For the past two editions, the Tournament’s 16 matches were broadcast live on SuperSport in South Africa and on all its African platforms and was carried by international television networks, that included Fox Sports and Eversport in 2014. Fox Asia (17 countries); Sports Max Caribbean (17 countries) and BeIn Sports (17 countries) – North Africa and Middle East carried the 2015. This gave all commercial partners unprecedented national and international television exposure.

Media coverage to a value of R8 031 443.00 and PR value of R28 057 711.00 (tracked nationally) in 2014 and R12 243 921.09 with PR value of R48 124 214.55 in 2015 was received during the Tournament, thus making it one of the most successful youth football events held on the African continent.

The ability of the Tournament to generate such publicity during pre-season, with a number of competing events, provides the perfect platform for an Event Partner to promote their company to national and international audiences.
